Review of Roll-Ka-Bab | Coimbatore

You ever remember as a kid, when you’d go out at night with your friends to a nearby ice-cream parlour to get those cones and have a really good time as you laughed at jokes and stressed at the same time as your ice-cream melted? Yeah, adults don’t have that. We have rolls instead and they’re great. The idea itself isn’t groundbreaking but it works and tastes delicious if you have a place that you visit often. The experience is just like ice-creams but we’ve got more options and ours doesn’t melt! Roll-Ka-Bab wants to do just that and create a place for hangouts for adults over flavourful rolls. Their small outlet can be found at Peelamedu with the kitchen filled with ingredients just waiting to be put on an Indian bread and rolled up!

When we visited the place, we instinctively ordered less because everyone knows how heavy rolls can be once you eaten them and there’s no point in wasting the food you cannot eat right? For our order we went with a “Cheesy Paneer Roll” and a “Peri Peri Mayo Roll”. Now we’re fanatics of tasting cheese at different diners because it tastes different at most places and the cheese here was oh so delicious! The Cheesy Panner Roll overall tasted very good although some addition of spices could really “spice” things up y’know. The Peri Peri Mayo Roll which also had paneer in it was good too, although the Peri Peri was more like Schezwan, we’re not complaining cause it tasted good! But, let me address the elephant in the room, their seating. It’s horrible and feels like they borrowed the chairs from a kindergarten. I’ve also seen other reviews of Roll-Ka-Bab complaining about the bad seating on Zomato which their staff have acknowledged, but to this day have not taken any action against it. So just get the rolls and sit on your car/bike/scooter whatever.
